Brief Overview:
To kick off this year’s EdTalent In-Person Teacher Job Fair in Toronto, join us for an exclusive pre-job fair workshop at the Urban Indigenous Education Centre on Thursday, April 23, facilitated by Nathan Laurie, co-founder of ApplyToEducation.
With over 20 years of experience, Nathan will help you develop a successful campus recruitment strategy for hiring new Teachers graduating from B.Ed programs. This workshop focuses on best practices for recruiting teachers for your schools. You will learn how to build relationships with Bachelor of Education students, effectively communicate your school's culture and community at in-person career fairs, and turn conversations into successful hires.
We'll look at your current recruitment efforts and identify areas for improvement. In the afternoon, we will address the challenges faced by First Nations schools, share practical strategies, and hear from a panel of university career center staff on effective networking opportunities.
