Prospero Teaching is looking to appoint an outstanding Physics Teacher for a school in Reading with an excellent reputation. This position is due to start in January 2022 and will run until the end of the academic year. The school wishes to appoint a talented and motivated Teacher of Science, with a Physics Specialism, for Key Stage 3, 4 and 5.
You must have strong subject knowledge and the desire to raise levels of pupil attainment by taking an exciting and innovative approach to the curriculum. It is important that the successful candidate has experience teaching A Level Physics and can confidently prepare students for their GCSE exams. The school prides themselves on being committed to first-class teaching and achieving high standards across the curriculum. The successful candidate would be joining a Science department that have a proven track record of success with their pupils who are highly motivated and well behaved. The existing staff team are friendly and approachable, therefore are looking for someone of a similar character to join their team.

The successful candidate will:
Have excellent subject knowledge in Physics
Have experience of raising attainment in a challenging classroom environment
Have a genuine belief in the potential of every child
Have high expectations for all pupils
Have a flexible ‘can do’ attitude
Successfully manage classes and deal with challenging behavior
Encourage students to reach their full potential
Be patient and have a good sense of humor
Have a Bachelor of Education or equivalent, with good standing
You hold the right to work and teach in the UK (UK Passport, Ancestry Visa, Spousal Visa or Youth Mobility Visa)
Be eligible for QTS
Have up to date Safeguarding training within the last year (Prospero offers accredited CPD training)
Successfully undergo RCMP certified criminal record checks
Provide at least two professional teaching references covering the last two years
