A critical HR role providing a variety of Human Resources services to the department and School District employees.
The Human Resources Associate is responsible for providing administrative assistance and confidential support to the Executive Director of Human Resources and the Human Resources Management team. The incumbent will be responsible for a variety of duties including job placement, performance development, labour relations functions and planning and coordinating employee recognition events.
As a key member of the Human Resources team, you will be responsible for providing clear information to employees, management and the public on all areas of Human Resources practice regarding School District policies and procedures, collective agreement provisions, legislative and regulatory requirements, best practices and other applicable information. The Human Resources Associate builds strong relationships with managers, supervisors, and employees and the broader organization and acts as liaison between other departments, divisions and stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have a post-secondary diploma in Human Resources and a minimum of five years relevant experience. The key to your success includes the ability to relate to all levels of personnel and build strong working relationships, take initiative while being able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Other qualifications include exemplary document creation/editing, creating and working with spreadsheets and presentations, database software skills, and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
