School District No. 6 (Rocky Mountain) is located in the beautiful Columbia Valley in the East Kootenay on the territories of the Ktunaxa and the Secwépemc peoples and the chosen home of the Métis Peoples. School District 6 serves 3343 students in 18 schools spread over 270 kilometers along the Rocky Mountains. Reporting to the IT Supervisor, the Web Developer/Help Desk Analyst will be an individual who is a self-motivated, self-starter with proven experience in creation, design and maintenance of an organization’s web presence, including social media channels. The successful candidate will provide support to IT Systems specialists with best practices to optimize customer service, use the help desk ticketing software, monitor the queue and analyze service level agreements and tickets to ensure timely response and resolution. The successful candidate will be experience in a tiered service delivery model. They will provide subject matter expert support for School District 6 software in a Windows based environment and will maintain ownership for Student Information System (SIS) data input and data integrity.
The successful candidate will possess:
Post-secondary education of at least two years, with proven experience in website design, creation and maintenance.
3-5 years’ experience working in Office 365.
Must have working knowledge of database environments.
Knowledge and experience supporting remote users.
Knowledge and experience with a variety of applications and operating systems is an asset.
Knowledge of other digital communication tools is an asset.
Must be prepared to upgrade skills, as required, to remain current in an ever-changing technical environment.
Be a self-starter able to deliver services in a timely manner.
