The HVAC Mechanic II reports to the Manager of Maintenance and the

interpreting plans, drawings and specifications of district buildings and facilities.
estimates and advice on HVAC projects
identifying and correcting problems in school heating and ventilation
systems by means of computerized direct digital control (DDC) systems.
tradesmen when they are assigned to assist.

Required Knowledge and
British Columbia Certificate
of Trades Qualification (TQ) in plumbing, refrigeration, or HVAC plus
Class “A” gas fitting ticket
Minimum of three
(3) years proven experience in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning
(HVAC) system maintenance including a minimum of two (2) years’ experience
using DDC systems
Proven ability to
work with minimal supervision
A valid BC class 5
This is a unionized position which offers $36.83 per hour. (40 hours a week) We offer an attractive benefit package which
