Alexandra Middle School
Position to begin for the 2023-2024 School Year
An opportunity exists for a dynamic, enthusiastic leader in the role of Principal at Alexandra Middle School. We are seeking a principal to lead our staff of approximately 30 teachers and 8 support staff. This position will allow an individual to create an inspirational and creative work climate. A strong focus on students and their achievement, along with a passion for excellence are traits this leader will need to demonstrate. A strong focus on:
instructional leadership and ability to coach professional staff to deepen their practice,
·outcomes based assessment and reporting,
teacher clarity; specifically, establishing criteria that demonstrates student achievement related to outcomes,
engaging parent/guardians in learning through intentional communication strategies,
research based best practice as it pertains to middle school philosophy,
collaboration and implementing successful professional learning communities,
leadership courage,
successful implementation of literacy strategies that work across core curriculum,
the Collaborative Response Model; demonstrates an ability to respond to appropriate data and embed progress monitoring routines
Alexandra Middle School embraces a middle school philosophy and therefore seeks individuals who are enthusiastic, caring, and committed to working with this age group of learners and their unique characteristics. It is expected that the individual selected to fill this position will be an active participant in the learning community and culture of Alexandra Middle School. Alexandra Middle School has a student population of approximately 500 to 550 students at the grades 7 to 9 level.
