Speech Language Pathologist

This is a full-time position commencing August 24, 2021 . The assignment involves serving students in various schools with the regions (Falher to Slave Lake and surrounding communities).

The successful candidate will be part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide a continuum of supports to school-age children at the universal, targeted and individualized level and will support the capacity of staff and parents to respond to student needs.

Duties may include, but are not limited to:

Diagnostic assessment

Treatment Recommendations

Report Writing

Supervision of paraprofessionals

Consultation and mentorship with staff

Provision of professional development


Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology

Eligibility for membership in ACSLPA and/or Speech Language Audiology Canada (SAC)

Excellent interpersonal/organizational skills

Must have a reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s license as travel is required

All candidates selected for an interview must produce an ORIGINAL, acceptable, recent (less than six months old) Criminal Records Check at time of the interview. Criminal Records Check must include CPIC, Vulnerable Sector and Local Indices Search, at the time of the interview.

Position will closely follow the school calendar. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience (mas. $101,100). Generous benefit package is available. Position will remain open until a suitable candidate is found.
