Duties and Responsibilities
Conducting routine inspections of facility and equipment.
Performing preventive maintenance as per Building Operator instruction
Handling basic repairs and maintenance work as per Building Operator instruction
Overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary.
Identify mechanical issues and correcting them as per Building Operator instruction
Repairing machines, equipment, or structures as necessary.
Performing cleaning activities such as dusting, mopping of mechanical systems
Performing minor fixes such as repairing broken locks, filling gaps on walls etc.
Checking control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues to report to the Building Operator
Installing appliances and equipment as instructed
Conducting maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs or replacing filters
Checking the plumbing fixtures and repair as necessary
Inspecting and troubleshooting equipment and systems (e.g. HVAC, ventilation)
Checking functionality of safety systems (e.g. fire alarm- Daily log book)
Collaborating with workers and other professionals during renovations
Participating in general cleaning, painting, and other repairing work as instructed.
Aiding officials, staff, visitors, and other employees as necessary
Checking the EIA building at beginning and end of school time
Recording and keeping maintenance activities log
Implementing and maintaining inventory control systems
Completing a variety of repair services, including cutting pieces, installing items, removing appliances, chair, tables, replacing parts and other duties as needed.
Using CMMS to follow the preventive maintenance plan and schedules
Proven maintenance experience.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Related degree from a technical college.
Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
Ability to take apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts.
Ability to check blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary.
Ability to use common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches.
Experience with precision measuring instruments or electronic testing devices.
Experience performing routine maintenance.
Strong organizational and follow up skills.
Eye for detail.
Professional presentation and attitude.
Ability to maintain focus while working individually.
Strong time management skills
Must be fluent in English;
Good communication and customer service skills;
Able to work independently with minimal direction and able to respond quickly to emergency situations;
Great time management skills and ability to prioritize work in order to deliver successful results within agreed upon time frames;

Valid class 5 driver’s license.
