EdRecruit: Avoiding Risks and Challenges in Your Hiring Process

Event Date: Wednesday, January 26, 2022

Time: 12:00 – 2:00 PM EST

WHY ATTEND

Even well-planned selection processes are vulnerable to applicant complaints, human resource challenges and access to information requests. Do you want to minimize these risks? Are you interested in understanding what legal issues are important to consider when hiring?

As organizational and human resource leaders, clearly understanding how to build legally-sound hiring processes is critical.

This workshop provides you with a deeper understanding of the circumstances and contexts where challenges can emerge and identifies concrete tips, tools, and strategies to implement immediately into your practice. After participating in the webinar, you will:

  • Understand difficult and problematic issues that can emerge during the hiring process
  • Identify tools and strategies to mitigate problems and avoid challenges
  • Learn how best to respond if you receive a complaint and where to seek support

Participants will receive our eBook, which will include checklists and tools to support you in your hiring efforts.

Who should attend: Staff with responsibility for hiring and those who sit on hiring committees in a school board setting including human resource staff, district leaders, principals and vice principals.
